Bhrenor

Bhrenor was a powerful being whose death created the world. When he died, his body split into the four known elements, and his spirit was released in the form of pneuma into the world. Nothing is known concretely about Bhrenor's identity, personality, or nature. His true name and origins are unknown, and the given name Bhrenor simply means breath-giver or life-giver in an ancient tongue.

Nature

No one knows exactly what Bhrenor was, or where he came from. Many theories exist, many conflicting, and none of them conclusively proven.

• Many, amongst them followers of the Church of the Holy Breath, believe that Bhrenor was a divine being or a god
• Some believe that Bhrenor was not a divine being, but just a powerful entity or force of nature
• Others believe that Bhrenor never existed at all

Death

When Bhrenor died, his physical form became the body of the world, and his spirit became its life, its breath, its pneuma. No one knows exactly why he died, but again many theories exist:

• The followers of the Church of the Holy Breath believe that Bhrenor sacrificed himself to create the world and give it life.
• Others believe that Bhrenor's death was simply unexplainable, or unknowable
• The followers of Omberin believe that Bhrenor's death was a mistake, which can only be rectified by feeding the world's pneuma to back to Omberin, who will be reborn as Bhrenor
